Built for Legacy Fiber, Ready for Modern Equipment
OM1 62.5/125 μm multimode fiber was deployed extensively in the early days of fiber LANs and is still common in hospitals, airports, universities, and industrial sites. While newer networks use smaller LC ports, the fiber itself remains perfectly usable for 1G and Fast Ethernet.
This patch cord keeps those networks running efficiently while allowing them to connect directly to LC-based optics.

Cómo funciona en redes reales
En 850 nm, 62.5/125 μm fiber supports:
-
1G Ethernet up to 275 meters
-
Fast Ethernet up to 2 km
This makes the SC–LC OM1 jumper ideal for:
-
Campus and office building networks
-
Industrial automation systems
-
Security and CCTV fiber links
-
Legacy fiber distribution frames
Precision Manufacturing You Can Trust
Each cable is manufactured using ceramic ferrules, precision UPC polishing, and automated optical testing. Both fiber channels are inspected for insertion loss and end-face quality, ensuring reliable transmission even after miles de ciclos de conexión.
The LSZH jacket option also meets modern Requisitos de seguridad contra incendios y baja emisión de humo. for indoor installations.
Preguntas y respuestas profesionales
Q1: Is 62.5/125 fiber still usable today?
Yes. While it does not support 10G at long distances, it remains fully suitable for 1G and Fast Ethernet networks that are still widely deployed.
Q2: Why choose SC on one end and LC on the other?
SC connects easily to older patch panels, while LC fits modern switches and SFP transceivers, making this cable ideal for mixed environments.
Q3: Can this cable be used in data centers?
It is typically used at the edge of data centers or telecom rooms where legacy OM1 fiber connects to newer LC-based equipment.
Q4: What does UPC polishing provide?
UPC creates a smooth physical contact between fiber end faces, keeping insertion loss low and reflections stable (≥30 dB).
