LC Duplex Connectors are compact, high-density, and standardized fiber optic interfaces designed for reliable two-channel (transmit and receive) optical communication in both single-mode and multimode applications. They consist of two LC simplex connectors securely held within a unified duplex clip, ensuring proper polarity alignment and push-pull latching mechanism for stable and secure connections in high-density panels and transceivers.
Key Features & Classification:
Single-mode (SM) Version: Optimized for long-haul transmission with 9/125μm fiber, typically using 1310nm or 1550nm wavelengths. Available with UPC (return loss >50dB) or APC (return loss >60dB) polish for low back-reflection in telecom and FTTx networks.
Multimode (MM) Version: Designed for short-reach, high-speed networks with 50/125μm or 62.5/125μm fiber, commonly used with 850nm or 1300nm VCSEL sources in data centers and LANs, featuring a standard PC polish.
