LC Simplex Connectors (Single-mode & Multimode)

The LC Simplex Connector is a small-form-factor, high-performance optical connector designed for single-channel applications in both single-mode and multimode fiber systems. Its compact size (half the footprint of an SC connector) allows for superior port density in patch panels, transceivers, and network equipment, while its precision design ensures reliable and low-loss connections.

Key Specifications & Variants:

  • Single-mode (SM) Version: Engineered with a 9/125μm zirconia ceramic ferrule for precision alignment. It is optimized for long-distance, high-bandwidth transmission at wavelengths of 1310nm and 1550nm. Available with UPC polish (typical return loss >50dB) for general use or APC polish (typical return loss >60dB) for applications requiring minimal back-reflection, such as FTTx and CATV.

  • Multimode (MM) Version: Utilizes a 50/125μm or 62.5/125μm fiber core. Designed for high-speed, short-reach networks using 850nm or 1300nm light sources, commonly found in data centers and enterprise LANs. It typically features a standard PC polish for optimal performance in multimode systems.
