A channel drawing should show each MPO face and adapter position so technicians do not solve a documentation error with an improvised component.

Protect pins during cleaning
Use MPO tools and probe tips designed for the pinned or unpinned face. Improvised wiping can leave debris around pins or damage the fibre array.
